• >MEMOIRS OF A plague is a personal journey into the myth of the locust and a portrait of a war that can never be won. Memoirs explores the collision between the extraordinary life of the Locust and individuals and communities around the world who face locust plagues. In countries where farmers are struggling to live from year to year, locusts thrive. Justified by the mythical wrath of locusts, man attempts to exterminate them. This antagonistic reaction is framed by the harmonious ecology of the migratory, trans-national creature – the Locust. (In partnership with National Geographic, Screen Australia, Screen NSW and Screen ACT).

   

• >A COMMON PURPOSE (currently in production) offers a rich and complex portrait of one woman’s unfailing commitment to justice and human rights at an emblematic time of world history. Fourteen people are sentenced to hang, one lawyer is assassinated and the other chooses exile in the dramatic story behind South Africa’s biggest murder trial during the dying days of the apartheid era. (Screen Australia, YLE, further broadcasters to come)

   

• >ABOUT PORN (working title, currently in development/production) tells the story of how pornography has burst out of the back alley and onto the main street, from the brown paper bag to the designer store, shaping the desires and imaginations of young people in the twenty first century. Popular culture has embraced the aesthetics of porn in fashion, music, technology and behaviours. Through individual stories from a teenage world, we discover the pervasiveness and influence of pornography. Internet social networking sites and mobile phone technology powerfully drive how young people interact, learn and socialise. In the hormone driven teenage world of attraction, desire and passionate love internet porn is normalised, shared and imitated, defining a new era in sexual acceptance and practise.
• >SPROUT MEDIA BY KIDS TV SERIES (currently in development). Sprout is a reality program that teaches kids the creative journey to plan, shoot and edit documentaries. In a competitive environment teams shoot doco stories while others go behind the scenes on movie sets to understand how it is all put together. Sprout Media By Kids TV aims to illustrate the empowering, accessible and exciting possibilities documentary filmmaking can hold for young minds. Final three minute docos are screened and voted upon.
• >SOLID, LIQUID, GAS ... H2O (currently in development) is a poetic exploration of the contemporary crisis between humanity and its quest for water.
• >ANOTHER WORLD (currently in development) is a film in which circus performers from nine to ninety unveil the dangers, the artifice and the secrets of their bizarre performance worlds.
